Emotional and Mental Health for LDS Women

Specialties

Anxiety

Anxiety shows up as excessive worry, agitation, irritation, or a desire for control, that interferes with how you want to show up in life, in your relationships.

Depression

Depression can look like hopelessness, discouragement, loss of interest, exhaustion, burn out, or feeling numb, a lack of emotion.

Grief

Loss is being deprived of someone or something you value. You will experience loss, everyone does, but maybe you aren’t sure what to do with it and find yourself feeling alone.

Life Transitions

Life transitions can be challenging. Can include things like becoming a parent, dealing with accident or illness, divorce, menopause, empty nest, or caring for aging parents.

Are you confused about your purpose now that your kids are grown? Not sure what you even enjoy because it’s been so long since you’ve thought about it?

Are you single, divorced, or widowed and find yourself feeling out of place in your ward?

Do you find that you compare yourself to the other women in your ward? Or feel that you fall short after listening to general conference talks?

Have you been hurt by the messages you received about your body, your sexuality? Confused or upset that it’s your job to manage men’s sexual desires and behavior?

Are you wanting to stay active AND struggle with church policies? And it doesn’t feel okay to say this out loud?

Hi! I’m Sarah

I am a well respected psychotherapist with more than 25 years of experience working with women in improving their emotional and mental health. My approach is compassionate and supportive while being straight forward.

I believe in focusing on progress, not perfection. I believe that you can be empowered through choice, that you are here to learn and grow, not endure misery or to live life feeling “not good enough.”

You will gain awareness and understanding about why you are where you are AND learn how to create the differences you want to experience.

What clients have experienced…

This is a safe space to learn and grow. I’m so grateful for the deep love that Sarah has for the women she works with.
Sarah is a pure gift. She’s helped me in so many ways and I couldn’t be more grateful. If you’re wanting someone who truly knows what she’s doing and treats you based on your needs, she’s the one. I recommend her to everyone I can.
It is an amazing experience to work with Sarah. I’ve gotten more out of one month of working with Sarah than years of working with others. Wish I had found her sooner!
